22nd March 2012 – A bunch of authors will be at the George-on-the-Strand in London from about 6.30 pm for a kind of mini-conference. It’s not expected to last long and I intend staying on for a drink in the bar. Be glad to see anyone who wants a chat over a beer.

20th April 2012 – Another gathering of authors, this time at the Southamption Park Hotel in Southampton for two days of talking. Its the annual get-together of crime writers from all over the country. Not sure how much free time there’ll be but you could always just turn up and see who’s there.

22nd April 2012 – This is one for your diary. There is a really good independent bookshop in the village of Alfriston, a few miles east of Brighton that has just opened its doors again after a major overhaul. It’s called Much Ado. They are hosting a Book Swap event on the afternoon of 22nd April during which a couple of authors (me included) will be interviewed by the publisher Scott Pack and the author Robert Hudson. The last time the event was held, it attracted around sixty people. Do come if you can. Full details will shortly appear on www.muchadobooks.com.

17th May 2012 – I’m due to talk to the Heathfield Historical Society on the nature of policing in the 18th Century. The doors open at 7pm at the Community Centre, Sheepsetting Lane, Heathfield, East Sussex.

21st July 2012 – Authors from all over the UK will be at the Harrogate Literary Festival on 21st and 22nd July. Do look me up. Always delighted with the excuse of a chat.
